Dear Church Family,
I would like to share with you a short devotion from Psalm 97:10
Hate evil, you who love Yahweh, Who keeps the souls of His holy ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
Psalm 97:10
As we meditate on Psalm 97:10, we’re reminded of the profound connection between loving God and hating evil. The more we grow in our love for Yahweh, the more our hearts are inclined to reject all that is contrary to His nature.
In times of struggle, when we find it challenging to overcome our own weaknesses and temptations, let us remember that our devotion to God is the antidote. By intentionally cultivating our relationship with Him, through regular fellowship, prayer, studying His Word, and engaging in meaningful worship, we position ourselves to align more closely with His will and to resist the pull of sin.
Here are some practical ways to apply this:
- Connect Groups: Get involved in your church’s weekly fellowships.
- Prayer Meetings: Take time to intentionally attend your church’s prayer meeting.
May our love for God continue to deepen, leading us to despise evil and cling steadfastly to His righteousness.
Blessings, Paul
