In this episode, we take a closer look at the heart of the prophecy that God gave through Haggai. Here, the Lord speaks directly to Zerubbabel, Joshua, and the rest of the people — calling them to be strong and to continue the work of rebuilding the temple.
It’s a powerful moment where God not only commands them to work but also gives them a reassuring promise — that His presence will be with them as they take on His work.
“Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts:
According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.”
— Haggai 2:4–5 (KJV)
