Ceased From Sin (1 Peter 4:1)

In this episode, the apostle reminds believers of the victory they have over sin through Christ’s suffering. He encourages them to arm themselves for the battle against sin, knowing they are no longer slaves to it.

“Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.” — 1 Peter 4:1 (NASB)
